Sailor’s canvas bags date back to a time when sailors used old sails make hardwearing and durable bags to carry their belongings.  Today canvas bags are still used by the army because the canvas can withstand extreme conditions and still do its job.   We have a number of army surplus canvas bags and rucksacks, which whilst are used remain in great condition.
