There’s still time to enter the Nauticalia Raft Race

Shepperton – Saturday 7 June 2104 – 13:00

Now in its 28th year, the Nauticalia Raft Race is one of the focal points of our local calendar, taking place in conjunction with Shepperton Village Fair. There’s still time to enter your team and build a raft.

This year's theme is Sports and Games, so we expect to see a host of exciting events such as the Olympics, World Cup, and Wimbledon re-enacted aboard some rather unstable home-made platforms navigating the mile-long course between Nauticalia and Manor Park. A huge amount of effort goes into the design and construction of the rafts, and thousands of people gather at the finish line.

Prizes are awarded at the whim of the judges, and reflect the work that goes into the decoration and costumes, as well as just speed, which makes for a spectacular event.

Get your entry in as soon as possible as there are limited spaces. Call Sally Dick on 01932 244578, or download your entry form here. The entry fee (a contribution to the Environment Agency) is only £10.
