Nauticalia Customers Raise £13,585 for RNLI
Thanks to the generosity of our customers, we were proud to present the Royal National Lifeboat Institution with a cheque for £13,585 recently. This combines royalties from related products, ‘rounding-up’ orders, and direct donations through our website, catalogue, and shops.
As you may know, volunteer RNLI lifeboat crews are on call 24-hours a day, 365 days a year, risking their own lives to save others at sea. They often have to go out in the worst weather conditions, when most of us wouldn’t even consider it.
The RNLI operates more than 230 strategically-placed lifeboat stations around the United Kingdom and the Republic of Ireland, with annual running costs amounting to £12m in 2007. The Royal National Lifeboat Institution continues to rely on voluntary contributions and legacies for its income.

This year our nominated charity is the Mission for Seafarers, which helps seafarers facing problems such as loneliness, danger and separation from loved ones. Defending our sovereignty, catching smugglers, or transporting our goods; those who go to sea on our behalf deserve support.
