Ordering Information

Delivery Information (UK)

We offer two delivery services:

Standard Delivery (UK Mainland): £4.95. On this service, goods will usually arrive within 14 days of your order reaching us, and often in less than 10. (Please remember that if you posted your order it may have taken up to five days to get here.)
(UK Non-mainland):£6.95. Service as above. Applies to Scottish highlands and islands, Northern Ireland, other UK Islands (except Isle of Wight), and BFPO.

Express Delivery: £9.95. This is a next-working-day service for UK mainland and Ulster addresses (two working days for the Scottish Highlands), provided that you order before 1200 noon. Orders received after 1200 will be processed on the next working day, so take one day longer to arrive. If you require an item to be personalised, your order will be delayed by one working day. Your package will arrive between 9am and 6pm, and must be signed for on receipt, so please give an address where there will be somebody available to take delivery (perhaps a neighbour/friend, or your workplace if your employer permits this).

If you prefer, you can collect your goods from one of our shops. Please telephone +44 (0)1932 235550 to arrange, as not all products are stocked at all shops all the time. There is no charge for this service.

Overseas Orders

We welcome orders from anywhere in the world payable by credit card or sterling cheque. It is very important that we have an e-mail address, or telephone/fax number so that we can contact you if there are any difficulties. Our delivery charges (standard service only) are:

Channel Islands, £6.95
Eire, £10.95
France, Germany, Holland, Belgium, Luxembourg, £12.95
Italy, Spain, Portugal, Austria, Denmark, Sweden, £14.95
Rest of World. From about £16, depending on what you order. Please phone on +44 1932 235550 or e-mail us on mailorder@nauticalia.com for a quote.

VAT (sales tax) of 15% will be deducted from the listed price of your goods (except books) for customers outside the European Union, including those from the Channel Islands.

Credit cards / American Express

We are pleased to accept payment from cards operating under the Visa, Mastercard, Delta and Maestro systems. Unfortunately we are unable to process payments through American Express.

The reason for this is that American Express charge us commission of 2.6%, compared to Mastercard's rate (the next highest) of 1.225%. If we had to pay the higher rate on all transactions we would have to pass this extra cost on to our customers in the form of higher prices. As a rough indication, this would mean a product that currently sells at £100 would have to be increased to £102. We do not think this would be fair, or a good way to do business!

Our Guarantee - We want you to be happy!

We operate a free 90-day returns and exchange policy.* If an item arrives faulty or damaged, or is the wrong size or colour, or is in any way not as you expected, call us on 01932 235550 or click here to use our contact form. We will arrange for it to be collected and returned to our warehouse at no cost to you. It will be exchanged or refunded - whichever you prefer.
The item should be unused (you can open it or try it on though) and returned in its original packaging, including all accessories and instructions. Unfortunately, we cannot accept returns of personalised items or earrings unless they are faulty.
On the rare occasion that goods develop a manufacturing fault during use and within a reasonable period (typically up to 12 months), please return the item to us and we will arrange repair. If it cannot be repaired we will replace it.

Gift Service

We can send your order to a friend or relative anywhere in the world - simply fill in the delivery name and address boxes. We will be pleased to add a message of up to 30 words with the parcel if you wish us to. Please write your message on the "other information" box, or dictate over the phone. Your order confirmation and replacement catalogue will be sent to your address, not included in the parcel. If you wish to send gifts to more than one address, there is no difficulty, but postage will be payable for each separate address.

Is Internet Shopping Safe at Nauticalia?

We treat customer security as an issue of great importance. With this in mind we use an advanced encryption system that "scrambles" your card payment information and address details before they leave your computer, and only makes them intelligible again when they reach our order processing centre. These measures make placing your order by internet at least as safe as the post, telephone or fax alternatives.

No. You can choose and buy products from this site, or our mail order catalogue, without registering.

If you do register we will send you e-mails telling you about exclusive special offers, and preview access to new products and sale prices, even if you don't order now. Also, we will save your address details for quicker ordering in the future.
