The Commodore or Director chair's compact size when folded made them popular aboard ships long before Hollywood commandeered them, so although they are now more commonly known as Director chairs their origin dates back much further. Our versatile, bright and colourful Commodore/Director chairs are available in a variety of finishes and can be personalised with names or messages of your choice. Our Tallyman chairs are taller than standard chairs, enabling seated occupants to talk at eye level with other people who are standing up, they are made in the style of those used by the Dickensian port tally clerks who used to count cargoes and watch for theft. Our Tallyman chairs are also available for personalisation.
