EVERYTHING about the 1930 Bugatti Royale Coupe de Ville was impressive: length - 18ft; weight - 3 tons; engine - 12.8 litres.

Its extreme size, beauty and rarity (new, it cost three times as much as a Rolls-Royce) continues to fascinate nearly 80 years later, and this spectacular 1:18 scale diecast collectors’ model is a worthy commemorative, officially licensed by Bugatti International. Using over 1,300 components made from 18 different materials, it is hand-assembled with great precision to replicate many of the original’s functions, including steering, suspension and doors. With a few simple manipulations the body can be removed from the chassis to reveal the vast engine, which was nearly 5ft long in the original. For display purposes it has a mirrored (so you can see the detailed underside) wooden base.
