This versatile flashlight is waterproof, floats beam up and is very compact, at just 6.5" long. The conventional beam is complemented by a separately-switched flashing red light for emergency use. Power is supplied by a solar panel which recharges the built-in battery during the day, but in case the sun never shines there is a compartment for two AA batteries (see below). Good torch for the cockpit.
