Nauticalia

Sea Chests were traditionally built by sailors to transport and store their possessions while aboard ship. Usually constructed from pine, they would hold navigation instruments, journals, clothing and other valued personal possessions. Our set of three is made in this style, from simple waxed pine planks bound together with black-painted steel fittings. They have slightly domed tops and fit inside each other for convenient storage when empty. The largest, measuring 34x16x18" (length, width, height), is suitable for storing seasonal items such as winter blankets and clothing, and sturdy enough to be used as a seat.

The medium size measures 29.5 x12x14", and the smallest, at 23x10x9", is a good size for CDs.
