Watch highlights of the action from the Clipper 07-08 Round the World Yacht Race

The Clipper Round the World Yacht Race, founded by legendary solo sailor Sir Robin Knox-Johnston, is the only round the world yacht race for non-professional sailors. The crews compete for the prestigious Clipper Trophy onboard a matched fleet of ten 68-foot ocean racing yachts each sponsored by different international cities and regions. By giving ordinary people the chance to do something truly extraordinary - the event brings out the best (and sometimes the worst!) in its crews.

This one-hour programme follows the crews from the start in September 2007 as they get to grips with the rigours of life at sea as they race across five oceans, calling into 14 ports on six continents before their emotional and triumphant arrival back in Liverpool at the end of the 35,000-mile race.

Programme producer Adam Birley says, "For once, everyday people can watch sailing that means something to them and can see everyday people at sea dealing with the hardships of life on the ocean - the audience can actually put themselves in the characters' shoes. This is a unique opportunity for a sport usually thought of as elitist."

The DVD runs for 57 minutes. PAL format.
