This spectacularly beautiful open top car was launched in 1934, fitted with a 5 litre straight 8 supercharged engine. It was fast (capable of just over 100mph), thirsty (10mpg!) and, with its independent suspension and electrically-powered windscreen wipers, locks and indicators, very advanced for its time. Bernie Ecclestone sold his for £700,000 in October 2007.
Beautifully made from a special high-density resin, thermal plated with lead-free pewter and heavily lacquered to preserve the brilliant finish; it looks and feels just like solid metal, but at a fraction of the price. This model will not tarnish - no cleaning required.
