You may remember something similar to these rubber-band powered model seaplanes from when you were a child, but this latest incarnation is rather special: they have a wingspan of 18.5" and in the right conditions will make flights of up to 100 feet! That range makes their ability to land on both (calm) water and land rather useful... You still assemble them yourself, from pre-cut plasticised foamboard components - no glue required - but nowadays (you might have guessed) they come with a battery-powered prop winder.
