Tinplate Curtiss Biplane
£16.95
90593 Tinplate Curtiss Biplane, £16.95
A common sight in the early part of the last century the Curtiss Biplane was used by many airforces worldwide including the Royal Airforce who used them primarily for training. This tinplate collector piece operates on clockwork. Wind it up with the enclosed key and the plane rolls forward and the propeller spins. Smooth action, excellent build quality as you would expect from Schilling.
Such devices can no longer be sold as toys, but will provoke happy memories in those of a certain age (and perhaps demonstrating them to grandchildren who would otherwise be deprived of such delights).
Length 7. Suitable for ages 14 years and up.
