Nelson 250 Bust on Plinth
£199.00
97622 Nelson Bust, £199.00
2008 sees the 250th anniversary of Admiral Lord Nelson's birth, at the parsonage in Burnham Thorpe, Norfolk.
To mark the occasion we have commissioned a range of items featuring oak and copper salvaged from HMS Victory (his flagship at Trafalgar) during her recent refit. This spectacular cold cast bronze powder-filled resin bust, mounted on Victory oak plinth has a section of copper plating on one side. It's a very striking and substantial piece: the plinth measures 7" square and 2" thick whilst the bust is 12" tall and 8" wide, weighing 8.5-lb.
Only available while stocks last, from a worldwide limited edition of 250. It is hand-crafted - beautifully - in England.
A royalty from the sale of the reclaimed materials goes towards future maintenance of the ship.
