Replica of Nelson's Chair
from £1495.00
Nelson's great cabin served as dining room, conference room and gun deck.
Every piece of furniture had at least two uses and pride of place was Nelson's leather arm chair. This was both a comfortable seat and a useful filing system: each arm had a pocket under a leather flap that he used as correspondence "In" and "Out" trays. Even in battle or heavy seas his papers
stayed in place. Our replicas are made from brass-studded high grade leather
on hardwood frames, authentic in all details but the size (he was slender by
modern standards, so this has a slightly wider seat). The front legs are made from oak recovered from HMS Victory - LIMITED EDITION of 200. Height 36", width 26", depth 28". Also available without the Victory oak legs. LIMITED EDITION of 821 (number of crew at Trafalgar).
