All brass-cased instruments eventually tarnish in the salty, damp marine environment, whether a protective lacquer is used or not. If you don't like polishing and want to avoid the "pitted green effect", these polished 18/10 stainless-steel cased instruments are the answer - made to last a lifetime and guaranteed not to tarnish for at least three years.
All have very high quality, marine-grade, precision movements and high clarity, clutter-free dials. Cases measure 6" across.
ref: 93056 Stainless steel clock face shows "radio silence zones" (three minutes in every 15 that should be kept free by all marine broadcasters in case of distress calls) and has separate dials for hours and seconds/minutes. Quartz movement uses one AA battery (see ref: 93195 below).
ref: 93057 Stainless steel barometer is easier to read and interpret correctly than other barometers, because the needle moves about 50% more (4° for one millibar, rather than 2-3°). The workings of the aneroid movement can be seen clearly through the centre.
