Schatz is the leading manufacturer of classic ships' instruments, and one of very few that still make the mechanical chiming movements that were so familiar to the naval and merchant seaman of 100 years ago.

Our Royal Mariner Clock has two eight-day mechanical movements; one for the clock and one for the chimes to mark the time-honoured "Ship's Bells" naval watch system - four hours on, four hours off (each half hour is marked by an increasing number of strikes until "eight bells" -time to change over).

This is a top-of-the-range instrument, equally at home in the saloons and staterooms of the world's super yachts.

The intricate workmanship is protected in stove-lacquered, solid brass cases or chrome with thick glass ports, secured by brass scuttle clamps. They have black hands and numerals on white dial.
