This big chunkily-engineered model steam-powered fire engine is packed with delightful little details such as a hose pump (powered by moving a brass lever to transfer drive from the wheels) a steam whistle and bell to sound the alarm. The all-brass vertical boiler, with its through-centre chimney stack, and the hefty flywheel, are stunning. There is even a collection tray for oil/water overflows. It would be impressive enough as a stationary ornament, but everything works too! Length 18", height (to top of chimney) 10".
