Nauticalia

A fast raiding lugger (chasse-maree) that would have been used by privateers around the time of the French Revolution. Her speed is evident on examination of the vast sail area - a long bowsprit at the bow and bumkin at the stern help support six large sails over three masts - and sleek (for the time) hull. She is clinker- (overlap) planked with deckhouses, rowing boat and eight cannon.
