The President was initially built as a showman’s engine by Charles Burrell & Sons (Thetford) Ltd, in 1905, to pull and power George ‘President’ Kemp’s famous Dreamland Bioscope attraction. She was converted in 1906 for use as a heavy-duty road locomotive for haulage, and later sold to Derbys of Ely for threshing duties.

Sold in the early 1950s for preservation, The President was owned for many years by Bressingham Museum in Norfolk, before being bought by its present owner who has spent the last three years restoring it. The President, now fully-functional, can be seen at steam rallies throughout the country.

Our 1:24 scale model depicts The President in her George Caudwell (Lincs) Haulage livery, and bears her registration number DO 2067. Part of a limited edition – only 999 will be made – each model is supplied with an individually-numbered certificate.
