98360 Flying Scotsman, £695.00
***Limited Edition of 350***
Sir Nigel Gresley's A3 class 4472 'Flying Scotsman' built 1923, became the most famous steam train in the world, breaking several records. At nationalisation she was re-numbered 60103 and remained in service on the East Coast mainline until 1963, covering over 2,000,000 miles in total. She was then sold into private ownership and is today preserved at The National Railway Museum in York.
Bassett Lowke 0 gauge electric model locomotives are individually made from soldered sheet metal, much as they have been since the company started in 1899. The quality is superb, with beautiful paintwork and detailing, and, whilst they are fully functional, most are now bought by collectors for display.
Locomotive length 20".
