Powered by a 925hp aero engine, the Golden Arrow driven by Major Henry Segrave, set a new land speed of 231.44mph on 11 March 1929 at Daytona, easily beating the old record by 24mph. The streamlined aluminium body contained ice chests in the side pods for cooling.

It is now on display at the National Motor Museum, Beaulieu having only ever driven 24 miles in its life!

This tinplate model has a wind up motor, rubber tyres and adjustable front wheels. Supplied in a traditional box with a numbered certificate.
