This much loved Routemaster finally disappeared from regular London services on 9 December 2005 - the end of a 50 year public transport reign, during which it had seen off a number of its so called successors!

Several vehicles were in service that day, but the officially designated LAST Routemaster depicted here, was RM2217 operating on Route 159 (Streatham-Marble Arch).

It's very authentic, even down to the advertisement for the Routemasters that continue to operate on "Heritage Routes" even today.
