In 1955, Mercedes-Benz introduced the 300SLR to compete in the Mille Miglia - the famous 1,000 mile endurance race through Italy. Stirling Moss, already an accomplished racing driver, crossed the finish line in 10 hours, 17 minutes and 48 seconds with an unbelievable average speed of 157.65 km/h. In addition to the speed and reliability of the 300SLR, the victory was thanks in part to an ingenious 'roller map' navigation system invented by Moss' co-driver Dennis Jenkinson.

Our 1:18 scale model is hand-built from more than 1500 parts, with an incredible degree of attention to detail including; Moss' favourite 3-spoke steering wheel, authentic replication of dashboard instruments, removable wheels with stainless-steel spokes, front and rear spare wheels, fuel tank filler cap, and leather interior. Absolutely stunning!

Total length 240mm.
