G-CVIX XP924 is the last airworthy Sea Vixen in the world and is an iconic example of British aerospace engineering at its best.

Purpose designed for the Fleet Air Arm to operate from aircraft carriers, she played a crucial role in the tense Cold War of the 60’s and 70’s. She is preserved in a flying state by the Fly Navy Heritage Trust and is based at RNAS Yeovilton and, under the newly-launched Navy Wings initiative, she can be seen flying with other preserved naval aircraft such as the Fairey Swordfish and Sea Fury at air shows.

Navy Wings brings to life our naval heritage story creating a collective partnership with other naval aircraft owners to actively promote the nations naval aviation heritage and keep as many aircraft flying as possible.

This superb air to air photograph was taken by noted aviation photographer Andy Rouse in June 2016 and shows a rarely seen perspective of this distinctive Cold War fighter bomber. Nicknamed Foxy Lady, Andy has made this image exclusive to Nauticalia customers. It’s available as a framed print or canvas in a range of sizes. A 10% donation from each sale will be made to Navy Wings to help keep these naval aircraft in our skies.
