Showman's Engine
from £425.00
Where steam traction engines generated working power at farms and boatyards, showman's engines provided entertainment. Often made by the same engineering works, the main differences were a large dynamo fitted at the front, to generate electricity for lighting, a full length canopy for protection of the operator, and brightly coloured paintwork. A belt drive take-off was used to power rides such as merry go rounds.
This full-function all-metal model does all of the above, but in miniature. It's a delightfully involved process to get it all going.
Length 12", weight 4lb, uses solid fuel tablets - option to purchase fuel tablets will appear in your shopping basket.
