Garrett’s of Leiston was one of the better-known builders of steam-powered road vehicles, having been built up from a forge in a small village in 1778, to an employer of over 1,000 men by the beginning of the 20^th century. Fairground vehicles such as these were relatively compact, being able to drive themselves (and a large amount of gear) to different locations and then power the amusements themselves.

This 1:50 scale display model is brightly painted in Rowland & Sons livery, with a high level of detail, measuring 9” long (tractor and trailer combined).
