The Steiff panda-on-wheels was launched to an enthusiastic public in 1938 - also the first year that most people had been able to see the real thing for themselves (outside of China). 70 years on, as the Olympics visit his home country, Steiff have given panda a comeback as a worldwide limited edition of 1,000 replicas, authentic to the original in every way; finest mohair fur, glass eyes, firm wood shaving stuffing, cast iron wheels and deep pullstring-activated roar.
