The uses for a nightsight are numerous: on board to spot unlit buoys or see down a canal tunnel; at home to watch nocturnal wild life or look for intruders. But there has always been the risk of "burn out" damage when accidentally exposed to daylight, or even a car headlamp. The latest digital technology solves this problem and also significantly reduces the image "graininess" that used to affect older units. Another major advantage of this digital unit is direct video output, so you can watch or record what's happening using your TV or camcorder.

It has five times optical (most rival units use inferior digital) magnification through a high-quality 42mm object lens. On starry or moonlit nights it intensifies the ambient light. In complete darkness the infra-red "torch" - invisible to us, but visible to and displayed by the nighsight - has a range of 100m.

A screw thread in the base allows tripod mounting for stability and long-term use (see ref: 94135 Heavy Duty Tripod below).

It is powered either by six AA batteries (option to purchase will appear in your shopping basket) or direct from 12volts when available (lead is supplied).

Length 6½", width 4½".
