An excellent mid-range telescope. Reflector telescopes have shorter tubes for a given magnification, so are available with higher power and light gathering capabilities than refractors, without becoming impractically large to use at home. In this model, the 130mm primary mirror is parabolic, bringing all the light rays to the same focal point to give sharp, contrasty, images, which are full of detail and free of spherical aberrations. It has: magnification range of 26-130x (with lenses provided); red dot finder; motor-driven equatorial mount with hand controller; adjustable aluminium tripod with accessory tray. Motor uses one AA battery (see below).
