Victorian-style Walking Stick becomes Monopod Telescope
92315 Telescope Walking Stick, £67.99
On closer examination of the lavishly ornate handle to this gentlemans walking stick, it becomes apparent that in fact you are looking at the retracted draws of a rather fine telescope.
The clever mounting means it can swivel out and expand without being removed, so you can then rest the bottom of the stick on something sturdy, to steady the image.
A fantastic example of Victorian ingenuity, beautifully reproduced in varnished rosewood and polished brass. Length 39, max diameter 2.
