One of the most sophisticated tanks in the world, the American Abrams tank has a powerful 1500hp gas turbine engine and is protected by Chobham composite armour and depleted uranium mesh which offers significant protection against anti-tank weapons. With a crew of four, the M1A2 has seen combat in Middle Eastern conflicts since 1992.

This 1:16 scale remote control model has a weathered finish and is fully operational, with forward, reverse, pivot and regular turning, and even a simulated recoil action.
 
Perhaps best of all, it actually fires plastic shells (cardboard target tank supplied!) and has realistic electronic sound and light effects. It is not therefore for children under 17, but lots of fun for children over 17.
