The Tiger I was a heavy tank with an 88mm gun, introduced in 1942 as Germany’s answer to the Russian T34. Over 60 tons in weight, with armour up to 5” thick, it had a crew of five and was powered by a gigantic Maybach V12. It gained a formidable reputation, but was also formidably expensive to build and run, so “only” 1,342 were ever made (compared, for example, with 58,000 US Shermans).

This 1:32 scale diecast metal model represents the PKpfw VI Ausf. H (its correct nomenclature) as it appeared at the 1944 D-day landings, in great detail with realistic materials and many moving parts.
