The Sopwith Camel was a rotary-engine British biplane fighter, introduced in 1917. Nearly 5,500 were built and in the right hands it was incredibly effective, credited with shooting down 1,294 enemy craft – more than any other Allied fighter of WWI. This beautiful handmade model has many authentic details, including skin-on-frame wings, a laminated wood propeller, and spoked wheels with rubber tyres.
