The Sopwith Camel was a rotary-engine British biplane fighter, introduced in 1917. Nearly 5,500 were built and in the right hands it was incredibly effective, credited with shooting down 1,294 enemy craft more than any other Allied fighter of WWI. This beautiful handmade model has many authentic details, including skin-on-frame wings, a laminated wood propeller, and spoked wheels with rubber tyres.
