The Mille Miglia Alfa Romeo 6C 1750 GS 1:18 Scale
93755 Alfa Romeo 6C, £385.00
Alfa Romeos 6C Gran Sport made the headlines in 1930. This was due to the coachwork by Zagato, engine by Vittorio Jano and the fact that Nuvolari drove it to first place in the Irish TT and the Mille Miglia.
Faithfully reproduced from the original, this superb diecast model (8⅝ x 3⅜ x 2⅜") is comprised of 1,800 separate pieces hand-assembled with watch-makers precision.
Close examination reveals a host of details on the 6-cylinder DOHC engine and Rootes supercharger, while the quick-release wire-spoked and alloy-rimmed wheels are threaded left and right like the original.
Open the hinged doors and check out the cockpit. It features real leather bucket seats, a functioning steering wheel and a full array of instruments.
Created in the 1930s, the 6C was the shape of things to come. Perhaps thats not surprising. One of the young designers on the project would become synonymous with motor sport. His name? Enzo Ferrari.
