Wood carving is an immensely satisfying occupation, greatly improved, like so many things, by having “the right tools for the job”.

This high quality set should cover all your needs, containing six Japanese laminated steel, fixed handle tools (4.5 and 1.5mm V parting gouges; 3, 4.5 and 9mm No:8 gouges; and a 9mm shallow gouge), plus a walnut handle interchangeable between seven American-made blades with straight, concave and convex-curve edges.

It all comes razor sharp, and can be kept that way using the special leather sharpening strop and compound included.
