Donation to Brooklands Museum
from £5.00
In previous years, Nauticalia customers have generously helped raise over £85,000 for nautical charities such as the RNLI, HMS Victory, Cutty Sark, Gipsy Moth, King Georges Fund for Sailors, Mission to Seafarers and the Dunkirk Little Ships Restoration Trust.
This year, also reflecting our expansion beyond nautical, we are supporting Brooklands Museum in Weybridge, just down the road from our head offices in Shepperton. Brooklands, besides being the worlds first purpose-built motor-racing circuit, was also home to many 20th century British technological and engineering achievements, perhaps most famously the birthplace of Concorde.
The Museum aims to preserve the Spirit of Brooklands by displaying a wide range of motoring and aviation exhibits ranging from giant racing cars, motorcycles and bicycles to an unparalleled collection of Hawker and Vickers/BAC-built aircraft, including the Wellington Bomber, Viking, Varsity, Viscount, Vanguard, VC10, BAC One-Eleven and the only Concorde with public access in South East England.
The ultimate aim of this independent charitable trust is to educate and inspire future generations of British engineers and inventors. Please help, perhaps by rounding up your order total to a whole number, and well pass it straight on.
Thank you.
