Southdown Bus Company Centenary Boxed Set
92819 Centenary Bus Set, £27.99
Founded in 1915, the Southdown Bus Company began by serving a relatively small area surrounding Brighton. However by the mid 1920s the company was running bus services right along the South Coast as far as Portsmouth and north to Crawley and Tunbridge Wells.
There was also an express service to London. But for many people, Southdown buses will be synonymous with seaside holidays, picnics on the beach and charabanc trips. The two splendid models in this boxed set, a Leyland Royal Tiger and Weymann Fanfare, are sure to prompt feelings of nostalgia.
Beautifully detailed and resplendent in their famous livery, theyre presented in an embossed display box with the Southdown company history on the inside of the lid. 1:76 scale.
Box measures 6½x5½.
