This amazingly powerful paraffin lantern was first developed in Germany in 1910, and has been in production ever since. Why? Well even today there is a need for independent light sources where there is no electricity - camping and boating for example - and the design has never been surpassed. The metal parts are chromed brass (so they can't rust) and its heat-hardened glass comes from the legendary Schott Glaswerks. With simple, regular maintenance they last for decades and many WWII-era examples are still in use. The "pop" from the mantle as you turn it over from alcohol pre-heat to running on paraffin is delightful.

This 100W PRESSURE LANTERN has an output of 100W. 11.75" tall and weighs 3.5-lb.
