In welcome contrast to the everyday brass version, Dalvey's take on the carriage clock is a richly tactile combination of expensive-feeling materials: chrome, piano-lacquered dark hardwood, and embossed black leather. And whilst most "carriage" clocks nowadays sit on mantelpieces, the designers of this one have looked back to the origins of the name - and made it such that the clock can be placed into the leather outer stand/case with the dial facing inwards, protecting it from knocks and scratches en route. Quartz movement uses one AA battery (see ref: 93195 below).
