Brief History of Eilean Donan Castle - the island of Donan, off the West coast of Scotland, offered the perfect defensive position and has been fortified since the early 13th century. The castle was authentically restored in a 20 year rebuild ending in 1932 – and has since appeared in countless films and documentaries.
