The aftermost cabin of a sailing ship had to perform multiple functions - from Captain's entertainment suite to stern gun deck! Folding furniture was often used to speed conversion, and it is this that inspired our dining chairs. Opened, they look like normal chairs, and, with their padded leather-effect seats, are just as comfortable. Closed, they are just 10" thick, and will fit easily behind a sofa or pushed up against the wall.
Great in the dining room or the saloon of a large motor yacht - and much better than using garden furniture for extra visitors!
