J-Class Display Yacht
£99.00
7439 J-Class Display Yacht, £99.00
Shamrock V, Endeavour and Velsheda, the only remaining survivors of the 1930s 'big-boat' J-class racing yachts, are a breathtaking sight under sail - and cost similarly breathtaking sums to restore and maintain. Our display model is faithful in many details (but not the expense!), with delightful details such as battens in the mainsail, reinforcing to the tack and clew of each sail, and intricate deck hatches. She is made from wood, carvel (smooth) planked like Shamrock - the others had steel hulls. Length overall 40", height 59", beam 7".
