If you’d like a bigger boat, that can be motored or rowed, but still want something that is easy to transport and store, this unique sectional multi-purpose-boat is a practical and clever solution. Big enough to take three adults, it can be dismantled (and the sections nested inside each other) to fit in the back of most medium/large estate cars, so there’s no need for a special trailer, or awkward handling on/off a roofrack.

The long, slender hull slips through the water, and a 3.5hp petrol outboard will drive her at up to 12knots. Or with electric power you can potter quietly at 4-5knots – perfect for fishing or nature watching.

Assembly is very simple, taking just three minutes, and if there is no slipway (or a queue) where you want to launch you can carry the sections (heaviest weighing 45-lb) to the water individually. The fibreglass hull and oiled Iroko woodwork require very little maintenance.

Assembled length 14ft, beam 3'6", weight 120-lb; nested dimensions 5'4"x3'6", or stands on end with a “footprint” of just 3'6"x1'8" (keep it in a shed, beach hut or large cupboard!). Includes oars/rowlocks.

Please Note: these boats are custom built (taking approx six weeks from receipt of order) and many options are available, from a different-colour hull to a sailing rig. Delivery is not included in the price, but starts from £50, dependent on distance from the builder’s workshop in Dorset.
