Get ready to see the world from a different angle. Experience the thrills of aerobatic manoeuvres which may include loops (the world becomes all green, then blue and then all green again), rolls, stall turns, chandelles and steep turns. The planes used for this exhilarating flight vary between centres and include Chipmunk, Pitts Special, Cap 10, Slingsby Firefly or Stampe Biplane.

What happens on the day?
Your instructor will start the lesson with a pre-flight briefing enabling you to understand how the aircraft is capable of aerobatic flight. Once in the air, your instructor will accelerate the aircraft to over 100mph before starting a sequence of aerobatic manoeuvres, which may include loops, rolls, wingovers and even the dreaded spin. All this takes place several thousand feet in the air.
Due to the nature of this experience you will not be able to take the controls, so just sit back and enjoy.
This experience is not for the faint hearted and is definitely not recommended with a hangover!

How long should I allow?
You should allow an hour for the whole experience.
The flight (from taxi to landing) will last approximately 25-30 minutes.
When?
The experience runs most days throughout the year subject to availability.
We recommend you book at least four weeks in advance to ensure that dates are available before the expiry date listed on the voucher. This is only a guideline and we advise you book as early as possible to avoid disappointment.  You must book and take your experience before the voucher expiry date.  All bookings are subject to availability.
Restrictions?
Minimum age - 12 (Under 18’s need parental/guardian consent)
Minimum height - 4’10” (147cm)
Maximum height - 6’4” (193cm)
Maximum weight - 18 stone (114kg)
You should not take part in this activity if you are pregnant or suffer from epilepsy.

What about the weather? Light aircraft are not usually affected too badly by weather conditions. If, however, your experience cannot take place due to the adverse weather, an alternative date will be offered to you.
Insurance?
Personal Accident Insurance to the value of £50,000 together with cancellation indemnity, subject to terms, is included with every voucher. The centres contracted with us hold public indemnity liability insurance. We also hold contingency liability cover. You will not be liable for accidental damage to vehicles or equipment, except where damage has been caused as a result of recklessness or wilful negligence.
What else do I need to know?
Your expiry date is printed on your voucher, please check the date as it is essential that you book and take your experience before this date.
Disabled facilities may vary depending on the location, please check at the time of booking.
Refreshments are not included but you may be able to purchase them depending on the location.
You must call the airfield before leaving home to check on weather conditions.
