These men’s reefer jackets are made in England and are very authentic, with many features little changed since the 19^th century. Even the buttons are Admiralty pattern, still individually engraved by a factory in Birmingham; and the fabric is a regenerated wool Melton that is as close to waterproof as natural fabrics get.

However, they are cut a little longer than the originals (nicknamed “bum freezers”) as we think it unlikely you are actually going to wear them to climb a ship’s rigging (and reef!). These timeless classics never really seem to go out of fashion, but are particularly “in” at the moment. Double-breasted, three pockets (one inside), smooth lining. Dark navy, almost black.
