Glass Cylinder Stirling Engine
from £249.00
With its glass cylinders and power piston, plus speed adjustment valve, this working model really gives you a good idea of the processes going on inside a Stirling engine. It is also very well constructed from steel, brass and copper - an object that will intrigue anyone with any interest in engineering even whilst it is stationary, more so when you explain how it works and perhaps even more so if you say that you built it yourself (take the kit option!). The burner runs on methylated spirit.
KIT FORM, all parts are supplied ready machined for assembly, requiring some basic tools and a reasonable ability to follow assembly diagrams - should take 3-4 hrs.
