Low Heat Stirling Engine

96028 Low Heat Stirling Engine, £195.00
We had a good feeling about this as soon as we saw the box, because even the packaging says "precision". It is a Stirling engine made to such fine tolerances, that it will work on the heat difference created by bright sun (or lamp) light as it is absorbed via the acrylic glass cylinder top into the black material of the displacer piston. It will also work if placed in top of a heat source such as a television or your hand, and in reverse if it is placed on ice - all that is needed is a tiny temperature differential between the top and bottom of the cylinder. Made from bright polished stainless steel and lacquered brass - eye catching even when it's not in operation. Base diameter 4", height 5.5".
