The photograph was autographed during a private signing at the Hilton Metropole: Birmingham NEC on 12th September 2009 (just 5 days before his 80th birthday!).
The signed photograph is double mounted and framed, accompanied by a commemorative plaque within a presentation of moments from the great career of Sir Stirling Moss.
About Sir Stirling Moss
Moss had success in a variety of categories, placing him among the world’s elite and is often called “the greatest driver never to win the World Championship”.
He raced from 1948 to 1962, won 212 of the 529 races he entered, including 16 Formula One Grand Prix. He would compete in as many as 62 races in a single year and drove 84 different types of car over the course of his racing career, including Lotus, Vanwall, Maserati, Jaguar, Ferrari and Porsche.
Like many drivers of the era, he competed in several formulae—very often on the same day.
