The uses for a nightsights are numerous: on board to spot unlit buoys or see down a canal tunnel; at home to watch nocturnal wild life or look for intruders. On starry or moonlit nights they intensify the ambient light - our nightsight features infra-red torch for use in complete darkness. The other big advantage with this head-mounted night vision goggle is that you still have both hands free to work with. Also, because you are using both eyes, the optics are straight-through (1x magnification), and the field of view is so wide (40deg), you have what seems like a more natural (and complete) view. It's well thought-out: the infra-red torch has a variable spot (longer distance) to flood (wider) beam; the headset has a flip-lock mount, so the goggle stays right out of the way when you don't need it. You can also use it without the mount as a night vision binocular. Length 5", width 4½", mount is fully-adjustable. Batteries are supplied.
