This amazing night sight uses “electron bombardment technology” (see below) to amplify the dimmest light 500 times – so you will be able to see clearly in what appears to be complete darkness.

The technology was originally developed for the military, but some obvious “civvy” uses include boating, camping, or observing nocturnal wildlife. If it is genuinely pitch black, there is also a powerful infrared “torch” (invisible to whatever you’re watching) built in, with a range of 330ft.

Images are magnified 2x through high-quality optics, with a 24mm objective lens. It fits comfortably in your hand, and the controls are operable one-handed. Uses one CR123 battery.

Electron Bombardment Technology Explained:

The neutral atoms are converted to positive ions by bombarding with electrons in a discharge chamber. The discharge chamber is a cylindrical anode, axial hollow cathode at the centre. The cathode is heated so that it emits electrons. This process is referred to as thermionic emission. A discharge between the cathode and anode accelerates electrons. Propellant gases are injected into the chamber. The fast moving electrons collide with them. Thus electrons are knocked off from the atoms, forming positive ions.
